American Venom

This virtual world is linked to the critical archival research behind Dr. Lily Balloffet's book project, titled American Venom: Animals, Science, and Hemispheric Relations. The book, along with related endeavors such as this Virtual World, collectively aim to render an integrative framework for theorizing inter-American mobility and connection. Each showcases different kinds of hemispheric connections through narratives of public health, scientific research, labor migration, and expansion of multinational corporations, to landscapes of environmental change and conservation.
