Baowen He is the independent avatar and assistant of Li Jiaqi, who wishes to share his research on the latter's paintings through this exhibition. By hacking into Jiaqi Li's computer, Baowen has collected image materials of the latter's paintings, which is the moment when digital media is transformed into physical paintings on the easel. It is interesting to note that today's artists rely heavily on digital media (such as images). This is in stark contrast to retrospective exhibitions of artists' lives filled with sketches and letters seen today. In decades to come, retrospective exhibitions of artists' lives may be filled with various screenshots of chats and electronic "manuscripts". By using Jiaqi Li as a sample for covert research, Baowen He hopes to explore the necessity and independence of both media. As this exhibition may face protests and opposition from the artist Jiaqi Li, Baowen He is prepared for various consequences.
We are pleased to have Jiaqi Li's sketches exhibited in Long Art Museum. These sketches have direct impacts on Jiaqi Li's paintings.

Jiaqi Li's digital sketch of painting "Digital Relationship." One of Jiaqi Liβs focus is the surface of things. He looks back on his past life experiences, exams the current lifestyle, and critics the functions of electronic devices and the logical relationships behind. The "Digital Relations" series is a series of paintings that are based on the composition of telephone dials. In modern life, our relationships are sharp, fragile, flashy, cheap, and ethereal.
