Secrets Exchange creates moments of serendipitous connection and resonance between strangers who will never meet each other. The project reimagines new uses for blockchain technology and encourages active participation through sharing your own and being empathetic to the secrets of others. The metadata for each secret and its unique artwork counterpart will be stored in a secure, off chain database. When a participant submits a secret, they will be able to see someone else’s secret and also the artwork attached to that secret. They can then decide whether or not they want to pay gas in order to mint the NFT and get it in their wallet. Otherwise the secret is lost forever. A simple smart contract is integrated into the backend and will mint on the ETH blockchain using ERC-721 if the user wants the NFT.
The project is a work-in-progress online platform for networked performances, which aims to introduce performative coding experiences to non-coders. When opened on a browser, the website shows a fullscreen-canvas of analog-synthesizer-inspired glitches, which may operate on a webcam feed, using Hydra live-coding environment created by a collaborator, Olivia Jack. In addition to showing “video effects,” multiple buttons and sliders appear on the webpage that trigger different video sources including webcam and effects; moreover, the trigger is also sent to other browsers opened online, in other words, everyone can influence each other’s video feed with or without the knowledge of programming language. This opens up opportunities to online art-technology collaboration in different ways, for example, to be used for a networked performance between a dancer and a digital artist or a casual video call in which participants trigger different effects to add intimacy to the communication.
Regalia is a generative, participatory and interactive artwork meant to let the audience be a part of the creation of the art itself. Using GANs and photo manipulation, I created the Insignias at the centre. The area around the Insignia is a playground where anyone can draw and complete the artwork. Regardless of skill levels, anyone can make amazing creations because of the use of symmetry. By clicking/tapping and drawing around the insignia different symmetrical patterns can be created. The final artwork can be downloaded by pressing enter/return key. Also, this page is linked to the layers of Regalia, i.e. based on the states of the different layers, the colour palette of the artwork, the central insignia, the planes of symmetry and the brush size changes. Thus, the owner of each layer controls the look and feel of the artwork and its creation process. Chromology is a play of colours. It is a generative, participatory and interactive artwork intended to create a collaboration between the artist and the audience. The final generative artwork rests at https://nurecas.github.io/chromology/ . The link takes you to a blank canvas. Use your mouse or touch to start drawing and playing with colours. The concept of the artwork was to break away from set forms, and engage in creations which are abstract in nature. In this way, the artwork is intended for "play" as opposed to "make". There are 4 styles of creations controlled by the "Expression" layer. There are 5 colour themes controlled by the "Theme" layer. I believe that a true artist starts by creating/curating his tools of creation. In the same spirit, many of my works hitherto have been on creating tools, digital or otherwise, and then using those tools to create art. Chromology is also created with the same concept in mind. M Carbon Dioxide is one of Sven Eberwein's latest works of art and represents 1000 tonnes of CO2 formerly purchased and retired as verified credit units (VCUs) on the Verra registry and minted to the blockchain as an NFT. The amount of CO2 offset by this NFT is equivalent to the emissions that person living in an industrialized country would emit over the course of 40 years. To give context, the typical roundtrip transatlantic flight from NYC to London emits 2 tonnes of CO2 per passenger seated in economy class. Thus, this NFT represents 500 such flights! The offsets identified and selected for this artwork were derived from Offsetra’s sustainability project portfolio. The Bull Run project and the Cerro de Hula project were both selected during the creation of this NFT.
Made with Regalia by Fabin Rasheed, hosted in async.art. Minted as an example in the Mint Crypto Art Tokens workshop by Bear at CODAME ART+TECH Festival 2020.

This work represents 100 tonnes of CO2 offset. For every tonne of CO2, there was a corresponding Verified Carbon Reduction Unit (VCU) purchased on behalf of the work. Every VCU represents one tonne of CO2 offset from forestry protection and renewable energy projects. This work is listed in the exact dollar amount required to offset the corresponding CO2 reduction and acts only as a transmitter. The VCUs have been purchased via @offsetra and attributed to this work. They can be accessed via the link present in the QR code. The owner of this work would be supporting the reduction of emissions equivalent to the average first world citizens emissions for the next 5 years.

Cangjie’s Poetry is a multimodal intelligent system that was designed as a conceptual response to the future semantic human-machine reality. Inspired by Cangjie, an ancient Chinese legendary historian (c.2650 BCE), who invented Chinese characters based on his observation of characteristics of everything on earth, we trained a neural network to learn the constructions and principles of over 9000 Chinese characters and named it Cangjie. Cangjie first transforms surroundings perceived by the neural network through a camera into a cluster of ever-changing new symbols that constructed by Chinese strokes. Those novel symbols compose a dynamically evolving poem. In the meantime, Cangjie also creates meanings for those symbols by using computer vision systems to generate descriptive sentences of the surroundings in natural language that humans can read. JOYNT Edition: As an artistic response to the Covid 19 pandemic, instead of using real-time live streaming of surroundings in the art installation as a video feed, we collect and curate submissions of daily footages worldwide. Cangjie interprets those collective memories and generates the poetry using its own symbolic system.
COSMOS is an exploratory exercise to visualize space objects and events. From Calabi Yau Shapes* floating with a background of a galaxy (This is impossible to visualize because those shapes are geometries of higher dimensions inside protons and neutrons inside the atom nucleus, but it is my artistic interpretation on the subject), to interplanetary star systems like our solar system, to black holes (Small black holes with relatively small mass) When the user interacts with an artwork by touching the screen, the specific experiment will transform and give to the spectator a new sensation related to the visualization and subject. The project is built using web open source technologies. * The Calabi Yau Geometries were built from the research of Andrew J. Hanson and Paul Masson math framework. All the experiments are rendered with three.js and animated with gsap.

Transcend Taste is a digital exploration of how dining is an immersive experience. When people think of dining and food, their cultural and personal preferences are shown. From being a picky eater to collaborations for the betterment of the taste buds. One thing we forget at times is how this entity of object has the ability to make us wonder through both positive and negative connotations, depending on what is being discussed. In our performance/immersive installation, we will be breaking down the dining experience through different lenses. Particularly aiming at the 5 senses while reevaluating the meaning of some of our semantics towards this experience. Through different creative coding environments in conjunction with online spaces meant for exploration, c0d3 kitchen will be showcasing the kitchen in a deconstructed format. Where obejcts and sense will be and will not be how they normally are to promote thinking. A timeless performance that depending on your mood and how you interact with the space will bring upon a different sensation every time. Should be noted, it won't necessarily be a drastic change but one that emulates the ability to feel different, even if eating the same food twice.

Original Codame creature. The little monster with the fangs. That first event I was involved with, we were throwing up so many projectors in the space. The logo colors played off red blue 3d glasses, with light beams sort of represented in the icon, intersecting and merging etc… Was just something playful in the chaos of curating and making all those materials!
NFT owned by SirNigel on SuperRare The people of the city of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia have just recently had their taste of normality after over 100 Days in Lockdown.
