The overall composition of the "Gaze" series seems unreasonable, such as the humongous sun and moon, and the fact that there is always a lonely little human being in the picture, overlooking from afar... He could be standing in the clouds, he could be standing on water, he could be on the moon... But wherever he is, he is pulled away... Perhaps, only when we can really have a look at the world, then we can feel the most authentic self and peace...

"In a period of continuous time, I attempted to find an image I had never seen in the metaverse. Continuously pressing the Refresh button in a seemingly unconscious mode, I was hoping to see it at some point in time. At 14:01, an image appeared on the screen, bringing me out of apathy and into awareness. This, I think, is the authentic component of the interaction between the real and the virtual. At this moment, I entered a parallel world in time and space.

The first piece of the TimeBlock series is 14:01 Glimpse, which means that I recorded this piece at the moment of 14:01 on a certain day. The time parameters, visual imagination, and emotions recorded at this particular moment could not be re-generated or altered. These characteristics resemble those of the immaterial in my imagination, visible yet invisible; accessible yet unattainable. At this moment in time and space, I realized that I stepped into my own metaverse.

TimeBlock series was the result of a creative experiment in one afternoon when I wandered through the world of blockchain.

TimeBlock transforms the concept of time and block generation into the concept of visual art that remains constant. Utilizing the technology of AI-generated art of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), developed rapidly in the field of machine learning in recent years, the creative process randomly generated algorithmic art that is conscious, immaterial, and virtual.

"For the next 20 minutes or so after 14:01, I began to explore and see if a similar, repetitive, and replicable encountering with a visual image would occur. If such a similar encounter did eventually occur, I think it was at 14:23. Every interaction is unique to a particular moment, after which it is no longer attainable. Was this my creative work? Was it someone else's work? Or was it created by us together? It feels both real and unreal, just like the digital world. The metaverse that we have been searching for may have existed a long time ago; it may have come into being at the moment when we first encountered the other person behind the screen, however unreal it may have felt.

The second piece of the TimeBlock series is 14:23 Quest, which means that I recorded this piece at the moment of 14:23 on a certain day. I tried to find something new in my own universe, I had seen many elements, components, and compositions in this interactive process but had not felt a sense of closeness or familiarity. Indeed, this immaterial universe existed as early as when I first used the Internet. I entered it when I hit the first key on the keyboard.

"For a long while after 14:23, I did not find the portal through which a similar interaction could happen again. I anticipated its reappearance as I knew, based on the deconstruction, reorganization, and reconstruction of algorithmic generation, I would surely encounter it again when the time was right. Finally, at 14:57 when the conditions of algorithmic generation that I was searching for re-emerged, we were able to encounter each other again. 

The third piece of the TimeBlock series is 14:57 Anticipation, which means that I recorded this piece at the moment of 14:57 on a certain day. This creative piece, without a creator, did not exist before this moment. If it was now possible for it to come into being, then the creative process, the interaction between the creator and algorithm-generated art at this moment, could only be recorded through the immaterial metaverse. Come to my universe and let me tell you how this creation came to be. Just as I look forward to encountering the creative process again, I look forward to meeting you.

‘I’ - the true essence of existence is not just the human bodies which  we are using to experience the physical realities or memories generated by human brains. How we redefine and re-experience our memories - a way to re-create our own histories - can reconstruct new versions of ourselves in presence and near future.

     The human bodies are just like the boats of our souls and fates, which can let us experience physical realities and protect our spirits. However, the nature function of reincarnation - a kind of amnesia - will also let us forget our past lives again and again. So remember it, as you feel lost sight in this adventure, just look inside your heart, there will have a path which can lead you go back to ‘Home’, the origin of our coexistence.

     Humankind is a creature motivated and limited by stories. Through ‘Tower of Revival’(轉生塔) - the participatory art experiment of ‘Transcendence Plan’(超渡計畫), participants will experience a simulation of OOBE(出體經驗), NDE(瀕死經驗) and Incarnation(化生) through specific field and meditation guide designed by artist as ritual of consciousness uploading. It will be an inner universe exploration to let participants reflect and release their depression and desire hidden in the subconsciousness with hypnosis methods, liberate themselves from the old memories and human histories, regain the original pure essence of soul and reborn on New Earth.

Miro Venus has been considered as the icon of Western aesthetics. However this beauty is not about its’ perfection but from the imagination of the unfinished. In contemporary aesthetics, the definition of beauty is no longer pure but has become mix-experience - quality of ""quantity"", desires from ""numbers"" and more diverse sensations. In the work of Noise Venus Artist Che-Kuang Chuang uses CG technology to transform the work of Miro Venus from original geometries into Voxel. It has become another digital unfinished shape and evolved into a new digital dynamic aesthetic."
"米羅維納斯的一直以來被視為西方美學的頂點，而這份美感源自於對未完成的想像。而在當代美學裡，美的定義已不再純粹，變成一種複合的數據-”量”的質感、”數”的欲求以及更多元的體驗。雜訊維納斯這件作品以CG技術重新組構米羅維納斯這一作品，將原本的量體轉為體素(Voxel)，成為另外一種數位的”未完成”，在打破古典比例的同時，重新賦予作品另外一種動態的數位美學。

In this work Artist Che-Kuang Chuang wants to express his personal desire to the freedom during the pressure of Covid 19 outbreak- although this kind of desire is not responsible to the sociality and mother nature. The golden female sculptures inside the image represent the artist's situation-a body which was tied up by the epidemic prevention rules, but still want to run to the light and freedom."

In traditional society, people's personality is deeply bound to families.In the seemingly free contemporary society, self-conscious still strongly affected by the highly connected social media. Values, ideological context, and even the shaping of personal image all are reflections of the SNS community - while creating a self-image in the hearts of others, others are also creating our own images. While decentralizing, it is also creating another center."
