Saffia you’re not real...

Description:3d model of Saffia head which is scaled up to relate to her presence to the space, with a model labled Truth. Inside the figure is a 3d Scan of my Laptop , which is titled “Saffia you're not real”. 

Hidden within the fog stands a Bouncy Castle with a neon blue cloth dropped from above to conceal the Image of Saffia hanging deep inside. It is a symbolic visualisation of a child isolating themself with an idolised toy/figure. As participants enter the Bouncy Castle it emphasises the narrative of how engrossed we become with any toy. In contrast, the pace of the animated cloth collapsing onto the 3d model highlights how quickly childhood passes.

To celebrate the partnership with Harmonix’s Dance Central 2 and Saffia, we have unveiled the new Saffia and Fluffly “Dance the Night Away” Statute. 


Description: A recreation of Dance Central 2 RipTide Crew dancers Bodie and Emilia during the Kinect gameplay. Instead depicted is Fluffly and Saffia as the Avatars dancing in blue and pink surroundings. On alternative edges are the next dance moves each player would follow when playing dance central. large in scale with the space highlighting the joy and fun I had when playing this game.

A variety of different branded items are decorated within a bedroom. There are mini versions of the objects within Saffia land, like the Bouncy Castle from “The Obsession” piece, Fluffy ears and posters. A bedroom is an important aspect when growing up, it’s the space we express our identity and go to for privacy.

Fluffy’s Back Story

Fluffy as you all know has Marshmallow skin from her ancestor of MarshmallowTown. But in all honesty Fluffly has been hiding her true self from everyone. 
When Fluffly was born she had extremely fluffy textured skin which is why her name is Fluffly. The L between the F and Y is slight but is meant to symbolise Love. Fluffly’s mother and father love her unique skin but there were some problems. Although MarshmallowTown is a bright place, there are strict government guidelines that all citizens must follow. Everyone must look the same and act the same. So during the ages of 0-3 Fluffly never went outside. her mother then made her a marshmallow skin suit to blend in at school and to keep her safe.

Fluffly modelling Saffia T-shirt from the Saffia Vs the World Tour collection 

This is me and my BFF Fluffly, we had fun that day. You see we went out around Shoreditch and did a bit of shopping. Then we went to this cute Photography studio and got our picture taken. It was so much fun. To remember the moment we then got a professional painter to recreate the photo. 

Words from Fluffly: Yeah it was a fun day, I was super nervous to see how the painting would come out but the artist Izzy did a great job.
