She has recently (March 2022) exhibited her work in a group show at the Copeland Gallery in Peckham, London. Her work has also being featured in PhotoVogue, Vogue Italia.

Isabella’s practice is often inspired by walking which necessitates towards unexpected encounters, enabling a visceral exploration of the world around her. Photography offers us an ‘Affective’ and embodied experience in addition to capturing space. Walking allows us to engage with the real, tangible, and transient, and photography thus, allows us to ‘retain’ it. Employing this methodology throughout her practice has brought her into close contact with the materiality of places allowing her to notice the subtleties of her surrounding environments, and has made her more aware of variation, colour, texture, and materials reminding her of the enduing pleasure of just looking.

BLANKS: Tianyi Sun, Ellen Tay & Juehan Zeng

Artist name Tianyi Sun, Ellen Tay & Juehan Zeng
Artwork Description:

Blanks is a non-profit curatorial organisation which brings the potential of everyday living spaces and artists who share similar interests together. It is founded by three like-minded Asian artists: Tianyi Sun, Ellen Tay and Juehan Zeng. What brings us together is the main idea of minded Asian artists: Tianyi Sun, Ellen Tay and Juehan Zeng. What brings us together is the main idea of exploring city spaces and challenging the conventional way of exhibiting and viewing artworks. The name “Blanks” represents our project’s scope, we redefined empty city spaces as a blank and we encourage our audiences and artists to “fill in the blank together in any way they like”. We’ve chosen to establish this organization because firstly, under the rapid process of urbanization and industrialization, more and more public spaces are commercially occupied, which means people have less chance to enjoy the city spaces, also, living through the past 2 years’ pandemic situation, people are experiencing unexpected lockdowns and most of the time they are encouraged to work and stay indoors, this turns the definition of “home” into a place where almost any everyday activity takes place, so we took this idea of rediscovering spaces to make little renovations of vacant and unused urban spaces into some mini exhibition areas. Our intended exhibiting spaces are, for example, a parking lot, sidewalk or even the space next to the exit of underground stations, they are places that people may pass by every day, but never had a chance to imagine the possibility of these places, except for their original purpose of which they were built for. With our project, we hope that it is like a treasure hunting adventure for our audiences, and by joining our exhibitions and events, they are able to re-open up their experience in outdoor spaces and find an easier way to enjoy art.

Subconscious Identity: Sarah Chung, Emily Bowler & Jade Batley

Artist name Sarah Chung, Emily Bowler & Jade Batley
Artwork Description:

We are a group of young female artists who put a large amount of importance on sense of individual identity. Recently , within our work we have been exploring the importance of ones own identity, and how it sculpts us to become the person we are ; how external and internal factors and experiences allow us to become the person we have become today.

As a group, we have decided we want to focus on this, and emphasis the importance of the sense of identity within young females, femme presenting and non binary teens. We want to create a safe collaborative community space, wallowing people to develop and express understanding of our own and others identities. Due to multiple different factors it can sometimes feel impossible to relate and fit in with others. This platform will bring those together. This is important to us as when we were all younger we feel like we would benefited from something like this. So to create something like this would mean a lot to all of us and we feel it would be very impactful and would help to aid personal growth and alleviate the loneliness of . It is extremely important to us that we continue to encourage others to stay with their authentic identity so we aim to create a multi- faceted community which would provide a safe collaborative space to develop and express our understanding of our own and others identities. In doing so we hope the community finds a way to feels encouraged to share their art work exploring this with us.

Sense: Yuying Zhang (Molly) & Kexin Li

Artist name Yuying Zhang (Molly) & Kexin Li
Artwork Description:

Our collaborative project will be an art workshop about letting people experience the different understandings and feelings of people with disabilities about time, space, and things. Disabled groups have always been socially classified as marginalized groups, social alienation of this group has always existed, and their abilities have been greatly underestimated in various sectors of society. This is also the core concept of this workshop: people with disabilities have different world experiences due to the lack of some
physical senses. The lack of some of their physical abilities does not mean they are incompetent; they just have a unique way of feeling the world and experiencing life. We hope at least through this workshop, the people who will join in can understand a bit more about the feelings of the disabled and the way they understand the world and raise some concerns about this marginalized group in the society. Barriers do not affect one's creativity.

First Wave Collective: Jana Grigelonite, Brankin, Nici Eberl, Angela Gioffre & Daria Sadowska

Artist name Jana Grigelonite, Brankin, Nici Eberl, Angela Gioffre & Daria Sadowska
Artwork Description:

Our group is linked together by a wish of representing the “self'' in our personal projects: we all got through a period of transition during covid, passing from general projects to a desire and also need to represent and create something personal, starting from ourselves.

This personal perspective is different for all of us because we are different one to each other, but the self is the starting point, the common link that creates a unity in our collective. The strength of this group is that each of us have a different point of view in regard of the self and this is expressed by a variety of techniques: some of us prefer to use digital photography and analogue photography, other of us videos and others less technological techniques like collages. The same starting point but the diversity of our practices and of our techniques is what give this group an opportunity to create something unique.

Even though our personal interests for projects, the themes that we usually explore and the way of representing them are various, the topic chosen for this collective is able to bring together our subjects of interest of our personal projects with the theme of graduation.

Sometimes it can be hard to work in a group of five people where all of them have their individual interests, individual subject preferences and individual way of representations of it when it comes to create a project; but our group saw these diversity as something positive, as a possibility to experiment more and create something that could combine all our strength.

Graduation is experienced differently for all of us but we are all linked by a fear of the future: we want our collective to be a safe place for whoever is experiencing the same fear and anxiety about graduation and what happens after it.

How to Exploit Your Audience in the Art World: Diggory Lynch, Felix Falck-Næss & George Budden

Artist name Diggory Lynch, Felix Falck-Næss & George Budden
Artwork Description:

As three artists who use photography as our primary medium, we have naturally taken not only a fascination in the ontology of the photograph, but the ethical dilemmas associated with it.

Our work is generally very concept driven and research based. We are open to a multitude of art mediums, particularly performance. Combined with the photograph we hope to yield more informative results that utilise and comment on the theory we’ve focused on.

George and Diggory have worked on projects in the past, exploring absurd and surreal theories and realising them through the objectivity of the photograph. Now we’ve joined with Felix, a successful documentary photographer who doubles as an encyclopaedia for artists and works. We hope to combine our techniques, ideas and research to create comments and work that says something new, and enlightens those ideas through art.
