Digital Unknown

Artist name Ambur Morbee
Artwork Description:

I wanted to highlight the forgotten subculture of “Googie,” one of my favorite subcultures from the 1950s. I added retro-futuristic elements as well to all of my 3d models. Most are inspired by the cartoon, The Jetsons.

The Liminal Spaces of Identity

Artist name Nichole Cruz
Artwork Description:

Humans are not one dimensional. As we evolve, so does the many facets of identity. In our transitionary spaces of life, we may take on characteristics of our environment, of our family, genetics, our aspirations and societal expectations. They are often similar and also very different. This project delves into the transitional and often ambiguous "in-between" spaces where women navigate and construct their multifaceted identities within society. It examines how various social contexts, roles, and expectations contribute to the development of multiple, sometimes overlapping, and even conflicting identities that women inhabit.

digital heaven/hell

Artist name cam t
Artwork Description:

this is the way that it is, this is the way that it always will be, they say, something you love and something you miss (the media of our childhood, the promise of a techno-utopian future), something you say, "I'm not super into politics!" and something you mean, what am i supposed to do? when did it get this bad? this is the way that i know, i've had only three smartphones in my life and it feels like too many. this is the way and it makes me sick, i start to scroll and the meter dips...

Dream Room

Artist name Izzy (Bugs) Bateman
Artwork Description:

In this model I wanted something like a dream room. Where death and cost do not exist. Time is changing but frozen in this space.

Artwork title

Magical Girl in Distress

Artist name Anna Beltran Garcia
Artwork Description:

What will our hero do?!?

Artwork title

Pueblito Bonito

Artist name Jackie Betancourt
Artwork Description:

This is a small little town themed restaurant. Sometimes smaller things are better than big fancy and huge spaces. That is the image I wanted to display, always cherish the little things.

Artist name Nadine Lee
Artwork Description:

A floating observatory drifts inside an hourglass, surrounded by stars in the night sky.

The Council of Apparitions

Artist name Alexis Alvarez
Artwork Description:

As one approaches the group of ghosts, they exhibit a looming sense of judgement as by their size and elevation above the ground. Almost looking down on you casting judgement, the ghostly noises being made sound illegible but put together here looks as though they are having a discussion you are not privy to. The overabundance of voices can be overwhelming to understand what they’re saying, the one outlier, however, is the menacing laugh coming from the biggest ghost, that combined with the towering appearance leads to the idea that the discussion being lead here is almost sinister about whoever within their proximity to hear. Each ghost has various expressions and colors in their eyes, from that can be discerned about what their personality is like and what type of input they have in the conversation. The way we feel self-conscious about what others talk about can feel overwhelming and stressful as we don’t know what they could be talking about. For some people, it can be scary for them as the anxiety swells up, or for others, they don’t care much for what people have to say about them, so it falls on deaf ears.

Still of a Wreck

Artist name Eli Cheung
Artwork Description:

As time passes, it becomes harder to remember events in the exact sequence in which they happened. The following scene is from an event that I do not remember, but which was retold to me the following day; Organized in a manner that reflects the serene stillness of this ignorance, this piece depicts an intentional wreck.

Candlelit Dinner

Artist name Prisila Vazquez-Nava
Artwork Description:

You're so sweet; you make my teeth rot.

Donuts

Artist name Ray Shulsinger
Artwork Description:

I wanted to make a simple batch of donuts with icing for my project. It uses a minimal amount of learning about blender using tools in object mode, edit mode, and sculpt mode. I feel like there is still a lot about Blender I need to learn, but I am satisfied with this simple project and hope to make more advanced works in the future.
