‘Drawing Sculptures’ by Dhruva Mistry “Drawing Sculptures have emerged from simple constructs into complex stable works since 2004 in various scales and colors capable of withstanding forces of nature and environments as enduring freestanding ideas in space. I imagine and draw a variety of 2D shapes as component parts of 3D sculptures. It has proved to be a trial-and-error way of working as I resolve the pieces by producing variations before making life-size or larger works. Emerging images reveal a kind of jigsaw puzzle meant as conceptual constructs.
