Statement:
Anything But Human is a virtual horror coaster experience. As an artist, I tend to avoid serious or controversial topics, political or social. Misogyny and sexualization of the female body has become so prevalent in our society that we've been conditioned to recognize certain instances as normal. From the perspective of a feminine bodied person, these cases have simply become occurrences we have to put up with or prepare for. I want to poke at the problem and reemphasize that there is one. They may seem small at times, but little actions can create an unsafe and uncomfortable environment on the daily.
There is an error in the system. Unfortunately, in the real world, there is no safety net of the glitch to fix it. I invite you to take a seat on the ride. Here, we are anything but human.

Delicate and Pure
On one side, there is a box labeled pure and delicate. A heroine? If you should see it that way. The flower is the essence of femininity, purity, youth, and beauty. It is desirable and leaves everything to the imagination.

The flower is a pretty young thing. It obeys and in turn is protected. It is timid and sweet. Harboring unseen fruits that will ripen, surely in the end, it will lose its worth.
Mischievous and Dirty
On the other side, there is the implication of a cautionary tale. These are the qualities of the Villainess. The monster. They want you to believe that the fox is the foil to the flower. It is not.

The fox is a temptress and a witch, a dirty hag. It is seductive and cunning, but should not be trusted. There is no pity wasted on an overgrown weed.
