I made this space to fully represent my vision a Time capsule that gives you nostalgic feeling full of childhood Innocence.
I made some legos in the previous semester collaborating in a group project with surrealism in a 3d environment. Click on camera man and he will send you to that project.
This is the sneak peek trailer I made for "Tales of the Unknown" for my BFA group exhibit. At the time it wasn't finished, so I made this trailer to showcase the work that I had done so far. The music brings out the awe and wonder of being in outerspace and allows us to dream just like in our childhoods. I initially wanted to display this in a CRT TV for the show but it did not pan out due to technical difficulties. Instead I chose to display on a modern TV to display the high definition of my video.
Another Lego piece in 3D using kirby combination of legos and a cute character that me and another classmate made together last semester. I added Kirby cause he's a cute nintendo character and Nintendo still is a huge part of my life.
There are some lego easter eggs from last semester that I made. I threw in because legos were an integral part of growing up as a kid that I still collect them to this day.
This is the vision I had when building a physical installation for the BFA show. I wanted it to be designed as a kid's room full of stuff that we have grown up with as kids. To bring out that feeling of nostalgia for the past when our childhoods were a much simpler time and our imaginations and dreams were endless.
The title on the poster was a place holder before I came up with the title "Tales of the Unknown". I made this poster in Adobe Illustrator. I left it upside down because as a kid I would lay down on my bed inverted and I would see everything in the room inverted.
This was my first attempt in making a hamburger spaceship. It was to see how my vision for Tales of the Unknown would comeout. Fortunately it came out a lot better after improvement. But I kept this beta version as a momento. You can walk towards it to fly you back to the lobby!
I made this building using lego studio which then transfered in to blender and finished the rendering from there.
This is a screen shot of the environment that I wanted to envisioned using Unreal engine. As its core, the process took time but it was well worth the heartache and trouble. It gives off a sense of us of wanting to explore this vast world that awaits us.
I made the environment in 3D then imported to Unreal Engine and the screenshots are what you will see in the final production.
This is another screenshot showing the planet before the landing sequence for our main characters. This was rendered in Unreal.
