Henrique Fagundes (Canoas - Brazil), multimedia artist and art-educator, works from excerpts, symbols, images and materials found in media repositories on the Internet, seeking to understand, through the creation of videos, animations, objects and installations, the sociocultural and affective logics behind this content. In his investigations as well as in his educational propositions, he tries to think about the use of new media as a political tool, as well as poetic, reflecting them as instruments for the emancipation of new narratives and contexts.

Henrique Fagundes (n.1994, Canoas), artista multimídia e arte-educador, trabalha a partir de excertos, símbolos, imagens e materiais encontrados em repositórios de mídias na Internet, buscando entender, através da criação de vídeos, animações, objetos e instalações, as lógicas socioculturais e afetivas por trás desse conteúdo. Em suas investigações tanto quanto em suas proposições educativas, intenta pensar o uso das novas mídias como ferramenta política, além de poética, refletindo-as como instrumentos de emancipação de novas narrativas e contextos.

2027, 2049, 2071, a great nation permeates the notions of time and space. A territory that rises beyond the geological landmarks that constitute it, based on an idea that there is ideology in the land that is stepped on. Traumas, caravans, coats of arms, symbols, artifacts, figures and heritages that elevate a country to a greater place. To the future.

Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the coast will be the main stage for this rise. The opening wing will be firepower, passinho and stereotypes. Republic, Monarchy, Empire.

In Tropical Meridional Fiction, Brazil as we know it and its inhabitants were objects of sale and exchange, and what remains are a large wasteland of 8,516 million km² in length. The elements that once constituted it as a nation serve as a totem for this territorial representation.
