Statement:
Visual Artist and Art Educator with a degree in the Visual Arts Degree course at the Federal University of Pará, he also exchanged as a fellow student at the Santander Ibero American Scholarship Program for studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, in Portugal.
Born in Belém-PA, where he currently lives and works. His work is focused on reflections on the non-hegemonic body, going through issues of identities inserted in themes such as miscegenation, sexuality and the Amazonian daily life. Such processes unfold in photographs, performances, videos, texts, interventions and installations.
Through these, he participated in several exhibitions in Brazil and Portugal.
Artista Visual e Arte Educador com formação no curso de Licenciatura em Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal do Pará, também realizou intercâmbio como bolsista do Programa Santander Universidades Bolsas Ibero Americanas para estudos na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, em Portugal.
Natural de Belém-PA, onde atualmente vive e trabalha. Seu trabalho é focado em reflexões sobre o corpo não hegemônico, atravessando questões de identidades inseridas em temas como miscigenação, sexualidade e o cotidiano amazônico. Tais processos se desdobram em fotografias, performances, vídeos, textos, intervenções e instalações.
Por meio destes, participou de diversas exposições no Brasil e em Portugal.

Vir a Ser (To Become)
Since the arrival of the Portuguese, a painful process of new formation of society has been established in Brazil. Thus, the multiculturalism present in the country is rooted in the suffering of our ancestors. It is in this scenario that the miscegenation process is shown as one of the most inhuman situations imposed on enslaved Africans and indigenous people. This hierarchical process between the races established a complex system that is still very strong today. It is in this context that the series Vir a Ser (To Become) presents cuts of Brazilian social formation that involve miscegenation, identities and fragmentation. I use kraft paper as a support, also called brown paper, to raise such questions that involve the complexity of the term brown, as well as the use of self-portrait for seeing me since childhood in these identity conflicts. Desde a chegada dos portugueses, um doloroso processo de nova formação da sociedade foi estabelecido no Brasil. Dessa forma, o multiculturalismo presente no país tem raízes no sofrimento de nossos antepassados. É nesse cenário que o processo de miscigenação é mostrado como mais uma das desumanas situações impostas aos africanos e indígenas escravizados. Tal processo hierárquico entre as raças estabeleceu um sistema complexo que ainda hoje é muito forte. É nesse contexto que a série Vir a ser apresenta recortes da formação social brasileira no que envolve miscigenação, identidades e fragmentação. Utilizo como suporte o papel kraft, também chamado de papel pardo, para suscitar tais questões que envolvem a complexidade do termo pardo, bem como o uso do autorretrato por me ver desde a infância nesses conflitos identitários.
